Photo

Duh... I was plugging the USB cable into the desktop computer while working on my laptop computer... no wonder the laptop wasn't recognizing the USB. I believe my brain is officially full with no more capacity for reasoning or learning. Anyway, here's a photo from a couple weeks ago after bathtime. It's so fun to see them play together.

Long time

I realize it's been forever since I posted last and I apologize. It's been crazy around here -- work's been booming and the kids have been sick -- ear infections back to back for both kids. Sometimes I feel I'm barely treading water! My mom and nephews have been here since Thursday and we went snow tubing on Friday at Snoqualmie Pass. We all had a great time! Matt and I actually got to see a movie and head to the restaurant for a drinkie and to hear some live music. Very nice - and maybe we'll even get a dinner out, too, while Mom's here!
The kids are doing great - Kyra's learning everyday and so funny! She walks really well but took a tumble yesterday evening down the very steep incline of our driveway. She's got some scratches and a little swelling but otherwise okay. Daniel is progressing with his potty training. He can stay dry all night and does well during the day, too, as long as he's reminded to go. We're still working on the poopy part -- he does tell me most times after he's gone, though. So we've got lots of progess there!
We're looking forward to our trip to Florida next week to see the rest of the family! I know you'll all love seeing the munchkins! Right now my PC isn't reading my external drive to upload new pictures... I'll try to get one up later.

Growing

Now that I'm mobile with my business -- I've moved to a new office very close to the restaurant and purchased a laptop -- maybe I'll post more often (or not, we'll see).

Kyra visited the pediatrician on Tuesday for her one year checkup and a followup appt. for her ear infection. The ear infection persists but she's doing great otherwise. She's 26 lbs. 6 oz. and 31 inches long at one year. That's bigger than Daniel was at this age and in the > 97%. We're cutting back a bit on whole milk! The doctor also warned about her precociousness as she screamed (okay, cried) because I wouldn't let her crawl up on the bench in the exam room to reach the light switch to turn it on and off over and over again! She is very busy (normal for a second kid) and in good health.

On Wednesday, we went back to the pediatrician because Daniel was crying at daycare because his ear hurt... yes, a second ear infection. He's such a great little kid and is beginning to wear big boy undies -- with some little successes. He loves cutting and makes a wonderful batch of confetti!

Off to pick up the little ones at school .
